I love painting tones, enjoy the microscopic view of flowers, images we take for granted. This was an absolute joy to paint and fulfilled my need for pink, for a while. Georgia O'Keefe, a fabulous American artist ,was the inspiration for my entry into this painting style.

A chance photograph of my sister's birthday bouquet in a restaurant, was the inspiration to paint this beautiful study of Australian wild flowers. It is a "wow" painting in a room, a bit like one colourful ,stunning piece of jewellery against a simple black dress.
I adore colour and set out to hypercolour the image, to its maximum. It became a labour of love with the detail.
