Home- the new series
For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to light.
Growing up in old, often dark houses, I found myself captivated by rooms that felt warm, welcoming, and full of sunshine. The paintings in Home are inspired by those imaginings—quiet interiors that speak not only of place, but of longing, memory, and belonging.
Each circular painting captures a small, ordinary moment: sunlight falling across a floor, a favourite chair by a window, the gentle presence of treasured objects. These are not portraits of specific rooms so much as reflections on what home means to us emotionally. The round format creates a sense of intimacy, inviting the viewer to look through a window into a private and familiar world.
Above all, this series is a celebration of light—its ability to transform a room, evoke memory, and create the feeling of being at home.
Home 10.23 AM $1200

Morning light pours through an open door, filling this everyday laundry with warmth, quiet and possibility. Inspired by the beauty found in ordinary spaces, HOME 10.23am invites us to pause and appreciate the gentle moments that often pass unnoticed.
Part of my ongoing Home series, this painting explores the relationship between interior spaces and the world beyond. The open doorway, abundant light and glimpse of the garden speak to a sense of freedom, belonging and the simple comfort of home.

Home 3.21 PM $1200

The painting centres on a threshold—a space between inside and outside, shelter and landscape, arrival and departure. Are you leaving or just arrived home and about to close the door? Familiar objects quietly inhabit the space, but it is the movement of light across the floor that draws your focus.
Part of the Home series, this work explores the relationship between light, memory and belonging. Open doors and uncurtained windows appear throughout the series, reflecting a lifelong attraction to bright, welcoming spaces. Here, light becomes both subject and metaphor, transforming an ordinary moment into one of warmth, possibility and connection.
There are now three circular paintings in the series, each a spotlight into another life.

Home 2.37PM $1200

Sunlight pours through the window, filling the room with warmth and casting long shadows across the wall. A favourite chair, a thriving plant and a quiet corner become the focus of the painting, capturing a simple moment of comfort and stillness.
Part of the Home series, Home 2.37pm explores the connection we have with the spaces we return to every day. The changing light transforms an ordinary corner into something memorable, reminding us that home is often found in the small moments rather than the grand ones.
The title marks the imagined time of day when the room felt at its most inviting—a fleeting moment of light, warmth and belonging.

Home 4.36PM $1200

Late afternoon light streams through an open window, filling the room with warmth and casting shifting patterns across the walls and floor. In this painting, the everyday becomes quietly extraordinary—a simple basin, a vase of foliage gathered from the garden, and a well-used towel are transformed by the changing light.
Part of the Home series, Home 4.36pm explores the emotional resonance of domestic spaces and the comfort found in familiar surroundings. The bright window, abundant greenery and absence of curtains reflect a recurring theme throughout the series: a deep appreciation for light, openness and the sense of peace that can be found in ordinary moments.
The title marks the precise time of day when I imagined the room at its most luminous, capturing a fleeting moment when sunlight and shadow briefly come together to create a feeling of being home.
