I have always followed a path of creative pursuits and now move between two creative places- painting and drawing. I am drawn to painting images that are opulent, dramatic and intensely colourful. My drawings conversely are more free in structure, light and quite subtle.
My artwork reflects am admiration for the drama and earthy tones of old Renaissance paintings witnessed in France and travels around the world. At times my paintings are intensely coloured, hyper exposed, organic images that drift out of the darkness. My drawings focus more on wildlife both here in Australia and overseas.

NEW Exhibition - "While I was out walking..."
Its all happening as part of the Loddon Valley Arts Trail 2024.
WHAT?
Its ironic really that I chose to name this new exhibition as such as I am having a problem with walking. Maybe its wistful thinking.
"While I was out walking..." is an expose of paintings inspired by the many places I have experienced, some overseas, some here in Australia. Above all its about colour and excitement.
The paintings will also be listed here during September so if you cant make it, you can still get a feel for the Exhibition and make a painting your own if you like.
WHERE?
Its all happening at Octopus and Queen in Tarnagulla as part of the Loddon Valley Arts Trail 2024.
WHEN?
The Loddon Valley Arts Trail 2024 is open from the 4th October til the 6th October 2024. The small gallery in Tarnagulla where my work will be is only open from the 5th til the 6th however.
I encourage you to get on the trail, make a long weekend of it, stay in the goldfields somewhere and immerse your senses in what is a very special district in Victoria.
