I have always loved creatures— cats, dogs, hens, birds, bees and the wonderfully odd characters that share our world.

For a while I found myself immersed in watercolour, drawing and painting creatures of all kinds, and many of those works remain here as original paintings, works on paper and prints.

I keep two beehives and have a particular fondness for our Australian birds, the wonderfully quirky guinea fowls and of course emus, with their unruly feathers, curious faces and enormous personalities.

Perhaps I’m less interested in the conventionally cute; it’s the unusual, the slightly awkward and the creatures with a bit of attitude that tend to catch my eye.

For me, every creature has a story — and these are some of mine.
